KLOwen Custom Braces Overview
The KLOwen Custom Braces System reduces pain and time in braces for the patient and more than doubles capacity with reduced overhead for the orthodontist, elevating profitability. We replace a one-size-fits-all process, which requires significant effort by the orthodontist to bend wires and reposition brackets, with a custom system that reduces the time it takes to treat patients. The custom braces/wires do the work instead, streamlining the braces process.
What Sets Us Apart
The KLOwen Custom Braces System helps orthodontists provide custom braces for each individual patient using materials that are within the orthodontic office. We use prefabricated braces with various thicknesses and torques, and the software selects the perfect fit bracket for each tooth after designing the ideal outcome for that individual. Custom digital braces allow delegation to staff members while elevating the quality of the outcome. Other digital systems require custom manufacturing of each component, which is both expensive and requires significant time for production. The KLOwen Custom Braces System allows patients to receive the best treatment possible in a fraction of the time.
How It Works
After a video (intraoral scan) is taken of the teeth, the orthodontist sends it to a digital lab and is sent a setup with ideal positioning for each individual. The orthodontist makes minor modifications to the plan, and the software chooses the best fit bracket for each tooth (from a library of 27). A delivery tray is then 3D-printed, and the appropriate braces are loaded into the tray. An orthodontic technician loads the adhesive onto each bracket and the braces are placed all at once in the correct position using the delivery tray. The tray is easily peeled away and the first wires are placed. After advancing to the final wire, optimal alignment is achieved, eliminating or greatly minimizing bracket repositioning and wire bending.
